Seattle’s Scuba & H2O show was a success, with the DIABC stand receiving some good interest from attendees. The new DIABC video, which was on display at the show for the first time, generated a lot of dropped jaws, and comments along the lines of “we must go to BC!”. A job well done!
DIABC members Tyler Preston, Trisha Stovel and Russell Clark, along with Director Ed Singer manned the booth for the weekend, handing out new I Love BC dive stickers, collecting emails, and talking to business owners and divers from the state of Washington.
The response towards BC diving is better than ever. The Annapolis sinking has earned some new attention for the province, and making American’s aware of their favourable exchange rate got more than a few interested in trips north of the boarder.
A stronger than ever, and clearer brand is making the DIABC a real eye catching, and must-stop booth at shows, and our volunteers are doing a fine job of waiving the BC dive flag.
We can’t wait to get more people interested in scuba in British Columbia!
